| Lighthouse Christian Ministries began in 1997 when a group of 13 people from Jenison Christian Church saw a need for a contemporary, authentic ministry on the Lakeshore that reached out to those who didn't go to church. They moved to Grand Haven and on Easter Sunday held the first service of Lighthouse Christian Ministries in a rented gymnastics facility. |
| The church moved around the first few years, mostly settling into renting space in the Grand Haven community Center. Early every Sunday morning the trailer was backed up to the door, sound system, nursery equipment, instruments, and even a little furniture was unloaded and set up. By noon that day it was all packed and loaded up again, to be returned to our office space at 7th and Fulton. |  |

Then in 2001, we found 15 acres to purchase in Robinson township. There was plenty of land, but the only building was a 46' by 56' pole barn in the SouthWest corner of the property (the green section of the building). With a little effort, including an addition for classroom, kitchen, and office space, the building was renovated to become our very own church home. |
| Today we've added two small buildings for additional classroom space, and are looking for even more opportunities to expand and make room for what God is doing on our campus. |  |
